While the above statement is very straightforward and is used by many in the marketplace, if this isn't your first search for "car detailing services near me", we all know that statement carries many factors of inaccuracy and disappointment with the exception of a very few. As a consumer, this leads to a bad taste for the profession and valuable time lost in one's day searching for a professional car detailing expert.
Hi, My name is Quincy Rollins and I am the founder of RC Auto Finish servicing Chesterfield County, Virginia. I'd just like to preface by saying auto detailing in itself truly is an art form. With so many different vehicle models, techniques, chemical options, and vehicle conditions, there simply is no "one size fits all" solution to car care. In order to understand this, we must simply look at what "Auto Detailing" truly is at its core.
AUTO DETAILING is the act of restoring and cleaning a vehicle back to showroom "like" condition.
With that being said, MY GOAL is to help you achieve that, as well as help you become a more informed and educated consumer and vehicle owner. Both of these two goals are achieved through working with a detailer who operates on a high level of expertise, proper communication, as well as the understanding that it's your car, your time, and your money. Together, we will work on understanding and setting realistic expectations on your vehicle's current condition and future results so we can work towards a better feeling and looking car together.
Paint Correction (Surface Prep) is the process of enhancing your vehicles finish by removing imperfections such as scratches and swirl marks. This is a more permanent solution, whereas waxes, sealants, and coatings carry fillers that temporarily hide the problem areas. There are 2 main stages to paint correction. The first is a single step used to correct minor and slight imperfections. Stage 2 is a combined use of polishes and compounds to correct both minor and heavy imperfections. This process is an art form and requires a lot of skill, precision and time to complete. This is our specialty and we take pride in helping owners achieve their perfect finish. It is recommended any Surface Prep be paired with one of our Paint Protection options to protect your corrected vehicle.
All protection applications are done by appointment only. The easiest way to understand a ceramic coating is to think of it as an additional layer of clear coat on your vehicle. Every day the finish of your vehicle is constantly attacked by the harsh elements. Over time this will cause it to become dull and lose clarity. Your cars finish, like your skin, has pores. When a ceramic coating is applied, tiny nanotechnology particles fill in those pores with Silica Dioxide or Sio2. This application leaves behind a glass layer across your vehicles finish to protect it. One of the most talked-about benefits of ceramic coatings is that they are Hydrophobic (water-repellent) but they also provide UV protection, resistance to scratches, marring, corrosion, extreme heat, chemicals, graffiti, and oxidation. We carry several options depending on the level of protection, durability and finish desired. It is highly recommended coatings be paired with one of our Surface Prep options to remove existing imperfections and amplify results.
